President's Weekend

This weekend went by really fast. It almost seems that extended weekends pass by faster than the rest. Valentine's was last Thursday and we ate at Cafe Rio... I know what you're thinking I am a true romantic! We decided this year that we would have our Valenties dinner on Friday instead. It was a better fit for our schedule becuase Miss had to write a paper and study for a test on Friday(I swear that teachers do this on purpose, to try and ruin students lives). We ate at one of my favorite places Ruth's Chris Steak House.

They serve the best steak! I got the New York Strip while Miss got the fillet. They were both extremely tender and cooked to perfection. I was a huge fan. I do recomend eating there. About the only thing that was hard to swallow was the bill... but hey it's worth it.
Saturday we rented "Across the Universe". That was one interesting movie. If you haven't heard it is a musical based off of the Beatles music.
I absolutly loved the music part, but the movie itself was a little weird and there was some nudity. I think that it was a good atempt but I wouldn't watch it again.
We have lived in our ward for our whole marriage and it took them 8 months to get me a calling, not that Im complaining, but now I teach elders quorum and I am also the service coordinator. Basicly I asign people to help shovel walks when it snows, when people move, or its our turn to clean the building. At the time I accepted the calling I thought it would be a breeze. I was sorely mistaken. Getting ahold of peole and having them actually show up is a nightmare. I guess I am sharing this with you because I recieved a new calling on Sunday even though I wont be sustained for another couple of weeks. They called me to be the new ward choir director............ I have no idea how this is going to work. I have never done anything like this. It will definitely be a challenge. I think I will get some card board and put high medium low on it and then decorate it with some pictures like they do in primary and I can point to it when the choir needs to sing higher or lower. I might need to ask my dad for tips since he was a primary chorester once. Joking aside, I do have some great resources and the coolest part about this calling is I get to work with Miss! She is the Choir accompaniest. There aren't many callings where you get to serve with your spouce. Well I think I have wasted enough space rambling. Sorry it has been a couple of weeks since the last post. Life gets busy, and thats a good thing!

I have heard great things about ruth chris from Sean Hannity! I've always wanted to try it.

You are really lucky to have a calling together. I would love that!
