Cars!!!

Well I am sure you have read Miss's post about her hit and run. I really start to wonder if cars are all they're cracked up to be, but I am happy to report we finally got rid of my Piece of crap Saturn. I had it for sale almost 6 months and had absolutely no bites. Why nobody wanted to buy my car is beyond me(Except it leaked, the windows didn't role down and it looked hideous). So we traded it in and we got the car I wanted.... A Subaru Legacy!! Awesome!! It's a 2006 and it is sweet I must say. We got a pretty good deal on it because it needed a few things cosmetically repaired on it. So for the past month I have been driving and waiting for the parts to come in. Well this past weekend the parts finally made it in, so I decided to take it in on Tuesday morning before work. I have to tell you that part of the deal we made with the dealership was that while the car was being repaired I would get a loner car to drive for the day. When I arrived at the dealership on Tuesday they acted like they had no idea what I was talking about, but they did offer me a ride to work(I was not happy). After waiting 20 minutes the HR director at work called me and asked where I was, turns out I was supposed to teach a money laundering class that morning at 8:30 oops!! Obviously I missed it. 8:30 roled around and I still didn't have a ride to work. After asking they told me that my original ten minute wait was now going to be almost an hour and a half. I was getting really upset, then some random lady that worked at the dealership offered to drive me to work. What a neat experience that was.... It was totally awkward driving with her all the way to Jordan Landing. Well to make a long random story short I got the car back and they made all the fixes. I sure love that car. So this brings me back to Miss's car. Now we have to deal with all the nasty car dealership stuff for her car. She still needs to take it in. So cars are awesome but sometimes I'm not sure they are worth all the trouble and hassle. Finals are coming up soon and i get a little break from school.

a morning at the temple

So this morning Steph and I went to the temple. Even though I got married in the Salt Lake temple, I have never been to a session there , we usually go to the Bountiful or Jordan River Temple. Well as usual I was late.. (sorry steph!) But instead of having sessions every half hour they are only on the hour. So we had a little under an hour before the eleven o clock session, so one of the workers recommended that we do initiatories. It was actually a neat experience. I would highly recommend doing them. It was so wonderful to remember the blessings that come with garments.

What is really down the drain in the bathroom?

So funny story...
Right after Steph found her pearl ring (she found it while I was on the phone with her), I went to the bathroom to get ready because we were going out to dinner. As I was putting my earrings in, one of them fell and went right down the drain. I immediately called Preston to the rescue, to get it out. At first he refused to get it out, and then claiming they were expensive he decided to get it out( he didn't need to know they were from Claires and were like five years old, what can I say I think they are cute) Well after unscrewing the drain and retreiving my earring, he noticed some hair poking out of the drain. After pulling he ended up with a foot long worth of matted hair from the pipe. He claims it looked like a dead rodent. Then bless Preston's heart, (he has a weak stomach) he started to dry heave, and ran out of the apartment with it, before I could snap a picture. It was a priceless moment though.

A hit and run!

Yes, as the title indicates I was a victim of a hit and run crime this evening. Being the good student I am, I attended my Organic Chemistry class for the first time this week. Steph and I carpooled today, and it was my turn to drive. After being let out late after the most ridiculous chemistry lecture ever (the professor kept messing up the reaction sequence for vitamin D) we were heading home in the usual stop and go traffic on Foothill. As I was sitting stopped in the traffic just south of Wakara Way, I happened to glance in my rear view mirror and noticed a white Lincoln driving unusually fast heading straight for us, At the last moment the Lincoln swerved, but not in time. According to Steph I uttered a bad word just moments before she smashed into the back of my car. ( I promised Preston that I wouldn't write what it was) I pulled into the median in the road and the Lincoln came up next to us and I stared into the face of an older woman. 93 to be exact. Who after speaking with the cop this evening apparently shares my birthday, aside from the fact that she was born in 1914! She pulled into the median in front of us. However, instead of stopping she drove forward at snails pace, until she was out of site. As I was on the phone with my dad, I looked up to see her gone! I had been a victim of a hit and run. Steph smarter than I am had taken down the license plate number. I reported it to 911, and they dispatched an officer to go to the alleged womans house to see if they could find her car with the damage that I had mentioned they would find. To top it off they dispatched a crime scene investigation vehicle to take pictures of my car and the accident. An hour and a half later, I was finally able to head home. So much for going to class huh? I had forgotten that Steph had never been in car accident before, I am just glad that her first was a hit and run :-)

New Doo... This could be fun

Well I feel like this could be a fun thing, almost like a journal. I started playing around on this today and its really fun. This weekend is shaping up to be an awesome weekend...OK maybe not. This weed is going to be full of thrilling and exciting...homework. I know, I know your jealous. I would be. Miss has a class that requires her to turn in homework on Sunday, I think its kind of weird but you have to do what you have to do. She also has to practice for her senior recital. I wish people knew how much work Miss has really put into it. She has been working toward it since I met her 2 years ago. Now she is in the final month I am so excited for her. She is super tough to finish this out!
Me on the other hand don't have quite the stress load of classes this semester and the classes are a little less exciting in fact none of them have anything to do with business. So this weekend I will be spending doing a fun extra credit assignment for anthropology because I didn't get the grade I wanted on my last test. Anthropology is definitely not my thing. I am glad this is my last semester of generals. Wahoo!! Also Saturday I am heading to the Deaf Center for a class assignment of meeting deaf people. For those of you that don't know I am taking ASL as my for foreign language part of my B.A. Fun stuff! Well that's it for my first post. Those that follow wont nearly be as long.

A blog... we gave in

When blogs started to appear, we decided they were much to trendy to participate! But I was reminded of a similar time in my life when I thought that myspace was much too trendy, but I finally gave in a couple of years ago over Christmas break, and what did I get? A husband :-) So that is neat... So I figured maybe something exciting would happen when I created a blog, so I will let keep you posted! ( get it?) :-)
